update
Thanks all
I have definetly not set any speed records this year but I do continue
to make some progress. The original interior is now back in including new front floor mat, different (good used but new to the truck) front+rear headliner, new door weatherstrips and a new front windshield and both front and rear window seal rubber.I can now tape and paper the truck for the final time for sealing and painting the outside. The box is bolted on and the finishing touches to the body are in the works. Really trying to have this painted before winter sets in. I would like to post a pic. but understand that function is currently unavailable.

re: a first step towards a paint job
My truck was painted today. can't wait till tomorrow
to get a better look at it dry and in the sunlight. 2 long years of working on it. Hope to get you all a photo soon.
I must say it again. Without this site and its wonderful people the experience or the journey from start to finish wouldn't have been as much fun. Thanks Keith for a GREAT place to share and learn with other
members who have similar interests in these trucks.

re: a first step towards a paint job
Thanks all, If I got the paint I ordered it is called Yucatan Gold=1970 Ford truck code R. I think it is pretty close and this should be very close to how it looked new.

Mark, that is one nice truck!
It sure looks better than when I was up there and saw it!
Who did your paint? How much did they charge you?

WHOOPS! I went to delete one of the two you posted, and it deleted BOTH of them....probably because they both had the same name. Sorry about that, Mark. Go ahead and repost it.4x4x4crewcab wrote:I know I'm slow but it is going to be done soon. OOPS posted the picture twice
