I'm off to Phoenix for the Barrett-Jackson car auction. Looks like rain but should be fun anyway. A 1 day stop in Vegas to hopefully finance the trip
and then 3 1/2 days of antique cars. I was there 3 years ago and had a blast.
Has anyone else ever attended one of these?
I will have a camera and will get a couple shots if I see any nice trucks

How was it? Were the vendors worth the trip. Obviously I could never afford the offerings from TV>

Mark, you must be pretty confident in your prowess as a gambler if you head to Vegas planning on leaving with more than you got there with. What's your secret, you a card counter?
Great ideas have always encounter violent opposition from mediocre minds.

re: Barrett-Jackson auction
I should check my posts. I didn't even think about this one sorry guys.
It was great even if it was a little on the cool side and some rain. The disposable cameras are not worth a darn. I don't have any real good pictures most are dark and grainy I didn't see any 67-72 at the auction. I guess there was one in the lineup but if I remember from the book it had sold on the Thursday while we were in route from Vegas. We attended the auction on Friday and on Sunday. It was 40.00 bucks a head to get in on Friday,50.00 a head on Sat. and 20.00 on Sun.---Sat. it rained on and off and even some Hail so we found other things to do that day. They say there is about 900 cars + vendors etc.. lots to see. Alot of nice car art, dicasts, wheel vendors,a steering wheel restoration guy, great food & beer. Funiture made out of cars like a desk from a 69 camero z28 nose and a couch made from the back end. A edsel front end table or hall table with a radio made in it and the speakers behind the grille--all kinds of stuff.
Willow as for the Vegas Trip. I'm not a card counter I wish I had a plan I just go with the flow and try to get lucky. Three years ago when we went I hit a slot for around 400 right away. This trip I was just up/down/up/down and left you guessed it down. They got some of the 400 back but not all. Its FUN once in a while glad its not a habbit
