To add to keiths list I think the column and wheel's colors are TERRIBLE and don't match at all. Also the wheel is butt-ugly, all of course IMO.

Larry
I'm sorry I didn't post the link to to knock your truck. Mine is not going to look near as stock looking as yours (which I'm sure alot of people want like) but, I hope it turns out half as nice. I think bringing that kind of money says it all, its a nice truck. I'm glad you told us about the A/C because that is the brand I was thinking about using myself. By the way I love the way you covered your dash and will probably do about the same on mine.

Thanks guys, I know it's hard not to pick on an auction car.

As far as the VA system... I wouldn't consider it total junk. It's just too underpowered to produce the desired environmental effect. You can't use a bigger unit as the dash won't allow it. So you're hot in the summer and cold in the winter. So why install it?

Morganater, the column and wheel match the interior. It just APPEARS not to in the pics. I own an auto paint store and match paint everyday. The wheel is stock (1979) other than the cover. I like those covers as I find them comfortable. They are the only covers I like and the oem wheel is too narrow. Morganater, please post pics of your trucks. I'm sure they are much nicer.

Actually, bashing nice trucks around here is a good way to get new members...Kinda like Apollo Creed bringing Rocky out of retirement so he could fight him again...

I really perused that '71 Ranger closely at the Barret-Jackson in Scottsdale,Az. ...It had the correct Ranger cloth seat cover which must have been very difficult to find...It had about every truck option for '71...But,oddly,it already had rust coming through at the bedside seams...
This is the point...I'm....talking about everybody! I'm talking about form! I'm talking about content! I'm talking about interrelationships! I'm talking about God, the devil, hell, heaven!!!! Do you understand???? Finally!!!!

I'd have to say that the Bumpsides 67 is about the nicest I have ever seen. We had the questionable untouched one with 358 mines on it awhile back that was awesome as well, but this one shows the work he put into it. I also do not like some of those mods he did with the steering wheel and like, but, it was his to do and Man Oh Man, he DID IT!!

So, I give it 2 thumbs up! Can't believe I missed this post originally.

CACWBY has the smoothest, best looking lowered truck on earth. His, as well, has things I wouldn't do, but each piece of that truck represents the others in an awesome way. CACWBY did his the way he wanted as well, and it really does stand out, not only in a crowd, but in my mind as well...I refer people to his truck photos on ocassion when they mention the lowered look.

Larry that was a fine looking truck. I just hope mine looks have as nice when finished. As for the money, who cares.... If you got what you wanted thats all that matters. I personally , like keith, will never sell mine unless my financial world totally crumbles.
I love the dash. Its nice to see one finished with those guages, hellped me make up my mind.

Well for my :2cents: , I think it was a great looking truck. Not original, which is what gets some dander up  . A few things I would not do but one the other hand a couple of things that I would love to do. That dash bezel looks to be just the ticket I was looking for. Now to find one :hmm: . Power windows have been another thought of mine. No a/c in my truck and my arms are just not long enough to reach both sides  . Nice job Larry.

Wow, I guess someone did reserect this one.
Thanks to those who wrote the good words!

Unfortunately, I don't have anything even close to done for this years BJ auction. But I did just finish cleaning up an old 89 Uhaul E350 for my business to use. For those of you that don't like the comfortable and stylish steering wheel covers, take a look at this one:

Don't forget everyone. Larry also did a lot of work on his site and is willing to help the uninformed and under funded. Larry hooked me up with a working sending unit for very little cash a couple years back. I always admired the truck. Good job Larry!!
